The Details
This Performance CDI box updates the ignition timing curve and removes the factory rev limiter, giving your scooter a little extra punch and the ability to achieve higher RPM. While the power gains aren’t dramatic, the quality and reliability of this CDI are a big improvement over many stock and aftermarket options.
This unit is an A/C CDI. Make sure your scooter uses an A/C charging and ignition system before ordering. A/C CDIs are smaller, and scooters with D/C CDIs typically power the headlights as soon as the key is turned — even with the engine off.
Important Things to Note
- This is for A/C CDI scooters only
- D/C CDI units are physically larger and behave differently electrically
- Cosmetic appearance may vary, but internal components remain the same
- Compatible with 4-stroke scooters from 49cc–232cc using GY6 or QMB139 engines

Electrical items are not returnable — please verify your setup before ordering.
To confirm A/C vs D/C:
• Disconnect the battery switch at the ignition
• Try starting the scooter with the kickstarter
• If it starts → A/C CDI
• If it does not start → D/C CDI
