With the 32 metal “blades” of different thicknesses on this measuring tool, you can easily define reed offsets. This is a practical way to reset the reeds so that they are adjusted like before tuning them or after curving. The measurable distances range from 0.04 mm to 0.88 mm (0.0015 inch to 0.035 inch). The metal sheets can also be used to give a reed a support while tuning it – or to adjust the reed curve.
